What hours are you open?
We are open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00-8:00pm, Wednesdays 12:00-8:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays 9:00-5:00pm.
 
How can I obtain a card?
If you live in the Paw Paw School District, please bring in your driver's license (or other ID with current address, such as your property deed or tax bill, lease agreement, car registration, telephone or utility bill, a Paw Paw Public Schools report card or schedule).

If you don't live in the Paw Paw School District but live in an area where we have a reciprocal agreement, you can bring in your residential library card, along with current ID, and we will give you a reciprocal Paw Paw card.

If you do not live in the Paw Paw School District and do not own property in the district, the current annual non-resident fee is $35 per individual.

 
How can minors obtain a library card?
If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must come with you to apply for or update your library card. The parent or legal guardian must bring his/her driver's license or other approved ID and sign a parental authorization card.
 
I lost my library card. How can I get a replacement card?
There is a $2 replacement fee for a lost library card.
 
Which libraries have a reciprocal agreement with Paw Paw?
Kalamazoo, Portage, Lawton and the 7 Van Buren libraries (Bangor, Bloomingdale, Covert, Decatur, Gobles, Lawrence, and Mattawan) have reciprocal arrangements with us.
 
Do you have internet access?
Yes, we have 8 computers with internet access. You do not need to have a library card to use them. You must sign in at the circulation desk and there is a 30 minute limit if there is a waiting list. If you are under 18, you must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian. We also have wireless internet so you so you may bring your own laptop and connect to the internet.
 
Do you have a fax machine?
Yes. There is a charge of $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page for outgoing faxes. There is a charge of $0.50 per page for incoming faxes.
 
Is there a limit on the number of items you can check out?
There is a limit of 2 items for your initial checkout. After those items are returned, there is a limit of 25 items for each checkout. However, we do have a 1 item limit for pre-loaded iPods, 2 item limit for Playaways, 3 item limit for videos and a 6 item limit for magazines, CD's and audio books.
 
How long can materials be checked out?
Books, magazines, CDs, audio books and Playaways can be checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed for another 2 weeks. Pre-loaded iPods have a two week checkout and may not be renewed. Videos have a one week checkout and may not be renewed.
 
Can I view my account from home?
Yes! Bring in your library card and photo ID. A Staff member can set you up. You'll need a 4 digit pin number to access your account from our website http://www.pawpaw.lib.mi.us. Follow these instructions:
     1. Click on the "catalog" link at the top of the page
     2. Click on "My account"
     3. Type in the barcode exactly as it appears on the back of your card including letters, spaces and numbers in the  
         "Username" box.
     4. Type in the numbers only from your barcode in the "My Password" box.
     5. Click on Patron Menu (top left corner)
     6. Click on My Account
