CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS


Mother Goose on the Loose

An early childhood literacy program for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers. A short program of stories, rhymes, and active music play is followed by playtime.

Program is every Thursday at 10am.

 

Toddler Story Hour

Children accompanied by an adult caregiver are welcome to share in stories, songs, and rhymes at this story time. It is followed by a free play period.

Program is every Monday morning at 10:30am.

 

Preschool Story Hour

This program is for children who are ready to attend story time more independently. Stories, songs, and action rhymes are followed by a simple craft.

Program is every Monday afternoon at 1:00pm.

 

Curious Readers Book Club

This once-a-month book club is for 1st - 5th graders.
We begin with a snack, share books, and finish with
an activity or craft. This club meets the first Tuesday
of every month 4:00pm - 5:00pm. Registration
is required so see Ms. Whitney for more details.

Lego Club for Elementary Children

Let your imagination take over! This freeplay with legos is offered to elementary-aged children. We provide legos but you may also bring your own. Donations of legos are always welcome. Snacks are provided. Program meets the last Thursday of every month 4:00pm - 5:00pm.

FAMILY PROGRAMS


Family Movie @ the Library

Come join us for some family fun at the library.
 Enjoy a free movie in our Program room.
Snacks will be provided. Movies are shown at
6:00pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

 Family Pajama Storytime

Join us for stories, songs, and a craft.

Annie's Ghost by Steve Luxenberg

One book, one county         Annie's Ghosts

From September 1st through October 17th, all Van Buren readers are encouraged to join together and read Annie's Ghosts by Michigan author Steve Luxenberg.

Check out a copy from your local library.

Meet the author: Tuesday, October 7th at the
Lawrence Conference center. The program will
start at 7pm and be followed with a book signing.
No registration is required but seating is limited.
